Pingree Grove Police Department

The Project is a new full-service police facility of approximately 10,316 square feet. It includes an Emergency Operations Command Center within the training room, and is designed to be environmentally responsible without impacting the needs or functions of the facility.

The Project is a three-story village hall building housing office spaces, a community room, council chambers, a third floor storage and mechanical area and a two story lobby. This project utilized precast hollowcore floor slabs supported by masonry bearing walls, and the third floor space also lies within an open volume area created within the metal plate connected wood truss roof framing system.

The Project is a two-story addition to the existing facility. The building is approximately 51,750 square feet and houses the park district’s new health club and contains a swimming pool and supporting spaces on the first floor. The second floor includes a running track, aerobics room, a free weight area, and several other fitness activity areas.
